Tony Mischel lives and works in Venice, California. He travels in both the United States and in Southeast Asia; and he often photographs the lives of inhabitants, both above and below water. For several years, he has had a project he calls “breakfast, lunch, and dinner,” comprising pictures of people cooking and eating in public spaces, such as streets, night markets, and food malls.
