I’m a photographer interested in making images of all sentient beings. My favorite sentient beings are human beings; Dogs run a close second place.

It seems they convey emotions that we relate to. They are fiercely loyal and give unconditional love.

My work is influenced by Diane Arbus, Robert Mapplethorpe, Mary Ellen Mark, Elliot Erwitt, Eugene Smith, Timothy Archibald, Dan Winters, Lars Von Treer, Wim Wenders, Edward Hopper, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Sylvia Plachy.

My wife Jill and I discovered Knoxville, Tennessee when she was a touring singer-songwriter. We liked it so much that we moved here in 2018. Previously, I worked in New York City and resided in New Jersey. I earned a Masters Degree from the School of Visual Arts in Digital Photography in 2018, and have worked in the image making and magazine world most of my adult life. While I

attended the SVA program, I produced a book titled “The Human Spectrum”. The subjects are young adults on the autism spectrum dealing with the lack of supports as the navigate adulthood. I worked at many magazines such as InStyle, Harpers Bazaar, Martha Stewart as a Senior Imaging Color Specialist. Further photographic studies have been done with Mary Ellen Mark, Duane Michals and Elizabeth Avedon. A few of my current projects: collaborating with Artist Dan Talley (https://danrtalley.com/) with photography and videography for his upcoming retrospective titled “The Albatross Project”; portraiture for Kadampa Buddhism; portraiture for the recording artist Feral Kytty (https://www.instagram.com/feralkytty/).
