Joanna Madloch is a New Jersey-based photographer, writer, and scholar with a PhD in Humanities, which she earned from Silesian University in Poland. She studied photography at both the International Center of Photography and the Penumbra Foundation in New York City. Currently, she teaches at Montclair State University, specializing in the creative process. She has authored over 30 scholarly articles and a book on Joseph Brodsky. She is currently working on a book about the image of the photographer in fiction. As a photographer, her focus is urban street photography. Her work has been exhibited in the United States, Europe, and Australia.
