Statement:  I use  my camera to explore my new community on a barrier island in the Gulf of Mexico.I titled the series “Strangers” because I didn’t know anyone or the community culture here and was thinking about my previous approach to urban street photography in  NYC. I focused on individuals, the scale and light in a natural rather than a crowded man made landscape. Here, the minimalist landscape includes the clouds, water and hurricane damaged pier and strangers.
