Storytelling is my passion and I bring this enthusiasm to every facet of my client work. Throughout my life, I have consistently sought to explore innovative ways of telling the human story by utilizing traditional analog capture and darkroom techniques with digital visual, audio and print technologies that allow magic to flourish. Proficiency in both worlds allows me to create images of a quality unparalleled by others.
My relationship with photography began as a teenager, when my dad, a professional photographer for many years, taught me camera and darkroom techniques. After a career in corporate technology management, leading large multimedia storytelling projects for the 1994 Lillehammer and 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games, Disney’s Epcot Center, the World Golf Hall of Fame, the Masters Tournament and the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia and many others, I opened my photography studio in 2014, with an emphasis on the live entertainment industry. I am a Certified Professional Photographer with the PPA based in Atlanta’s Buckhead Arts District specializing in Portraiture, Commercial and Fine Art Photography I am a Board Member and ethics chair of the Georgia ProfessionalPhotographers Association, a Past President of the Southeastern Photographic Society and a founding member of the Booth Photo Guild.
In the summer of 2020, I began telling the story of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the Atlanta performing arts community through my Dark Houses Atlanta project, making photographs of 33 of Atlanta’s live entertainment venues that were forced to close due to lockdowns.
