A Tennessee native with a PhD in physics from Cambridge University in England, Nathan Dean traveled the world during a distinguished career in academe. A photographer as well as a physicist, he kept his lens always at the ready, visiting and photographing in more than eighty countries. Now retired and residing in Atlanta, he is still an active fine art photographer and an articulate advocate for photography, serving on the Board of Atlanta Celebrates Photography, the metro area’s leading photography center. His taut and elegant compositions have been acquired by collectors including Srinivas Reddy, John Rofrano, and Gordhan Patel, and have won awards in juried shows and publications in New York, Paris, Atlanta and elsewhere.
