Dangott is an emerging American photographic and mixed media artist. She has exhibited her work extensively over the past two years across the US. Her imaginative and haunting works explore many different themes. Regardless of the subject matter or theme of a series, her work often blurs the line between fact and fiction. Dangott also strives to weave together elements of our tangible external physical environment with our less tangible but equally as relevant internal psychological realm. She received her BFA in photography from Austin Peay State University in 1988. Her works are in many private, public and corporate collections.
Equipment: D.Dangott believes that the best camera one can use is the one that is in her hands at the moment that it is needed. She has no allegiance to any particular brand or system. She has used a wide-variety of both traditional film cameras in various formats, as well as toy cameras. All of her current work is completely digitally captured, with either a Nikon system or her iPhone 11ProMax, and then edited with a range of software tools. She also often incorporates photographic compositing techniques to create some of her images
