Wendi Schneider is a Denver-based visual artist illuminating impressions of grace in our vulnerable environment with photography and precious metals. Inspired by a background in painting, art history, the lush landscapes of Memphis, New Orleans and New York, and her collection of early 20th century photographs, Schneider layers her images with color and texture to manipulate the boundaries between the real and the imaged. Exhibited, published and collected internationally, her work is held in permanent collections at the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Center For Creative Photography, and Memphis Brooks Museum, among others. She is represented by A Gallery For Fine Photography ( New Orleans), Arnika Dawkins Gallery (Atlanta), Catherine Couturier Gallery (Houston), Galeria Photographic (San Miguel de Allende), Rick Wester Fine Art (New York), and Vision Gallery (Jerusalem).
