Jan Arrigo is an award winning New Orleans area visual artist and writer exhibiting nationally. Formerly an arts educator, Jan has lectured in New York at ICP, The Museum of the Moving Image and The New York Historical Society. Currently she serves on the art advisory board at the St. Tammany Art Association (Covington, LA).
She received a BA in Communications from Loyola University, studied art history at CUNY, photography at ICP and painting at The Art Student’s League in New York.
Jan has authored several books about New Orleans and contributed to “The American Art Book” (Phaidon) and “The Encyclopedia of Sculpture (Routledge).”
