Mark Roussel is a New York-based photographer and professional printer who has served as a consultant to some of the city’s most influential photographers, arts institutions, and publishers. These include photographers Eddie Adams, Elinor Carucci, and Russell James; the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Christies, and the La MaMa Dance Theatre; and Discover magazine and Christie’s NYC auction house. Roussel earned his Master of Professional Studies in Digital Photography from New York’s prestigious School of Visual Arts, where he has also taught classes in digital photography, traditional photography, and printing since 2005. In addition to exhibiting his personal work in galleries throughout the city and state, Roussel has been published in The New York Times, Variety, Newsweek, Newsday, The Village Voice, and The New York Post. He previously served on the faculty of the International Center of Photography, and has also been a guest lecturer on photography at schools and arts institutions such as the Fashion Institute of Technology, Cooper Union, and Teachers College at Columbia University.
